Since 1977 when Dr. James A. Murphy began practicing in St. Joseph, Missouri, we have been providing patients with personalized and attentive eye care. At Murphy-Watson-Burr Eye Center, it is our professional commitment and each staff member's personal goal to see that you and your family receive quality care in a pleasant and efficient atmosphere.
Murphy-Watson-Burr Eye Center has three offices in Northwest Missouri staffed by four board-certified ophthalmologists (medical doctors who perform eye surgery) and three board-certified doctors of optometry (eye doctors who specialize in prescribing glasses and contact lenses and who also treat many medical eye conditions). We have a staff of more than 50 support personnel, many of whom have been employed for more than 20 years and have achieved specialty certification in assisting eye physicians.
