Contact Lens

If you have trouble wearing contact lenses or have been told that you are not a good candidate for contact lenses, you simply may have eyes that are "hard to fit". Our optometrists have special expertise in contact lens fitting. Any of the following conditions can make contact lens fitting and comfortable contact lens wear more challenging.

  • Keratoconus
  • Dry Eyes
  • Giant Papillary Conjunctivitis
  • Astigmatism
  • Bifocal or Multifocal
  • Post-refractive surgery (such as LASIK)

If you have (or suspect you have) any of these conditions and you are motivated to wear contact lenses, we can help. We use the most up-to-date technology contact lenses and equipment to achieve the best contact lens fit possible.

New Contact Lens Option for our patients with Keratoconus.
SynergEYES Hybrid Contact Lenses

Hybrid contact lenses are the latest and most advanced option available in contact lenses specifically designed for keratoconus and irregular cornea patients. Using a revolutionary technology, hybrids combine the best of both worlds – the crisp vision of a high-oxygen rigid gas permeable (RGP) contact lens with the all-day comfort and convenience of a soft lens. Hybrids are specifically designed to restore vision to patients with the many types and stages of keratoconus.

Contact Lenses

Millions of people around the world wear contact lenses – over 24 million in the United States alone. Depending on your age, lifestyle, motivation, visual correction and the health of your eyes, contact lenses may provide a safe and effective alternative to eye glasses, when used with proper care and maintenance.

Lenses that are not properly cleaned and disinfected increase the risk of infection of the eye. Lenses that are old or not properly fitted may scratch the eye or induce blood vessels to grow in to the cornea. Because a lens can warp over time, the fit should be reevaluated on a regular basis. Failing to follow prescribed directions may increase the risk of health problems.

With more choices than ever before, now is an exciting time for wearers of contact lenses. Today's contact lenses offer the opportunity to maximize vision while maintaining excellent eye health. Contact lenses can now correct astigmatism and bifocal contact lenses can lessen the need for reading glasses.
